Lundin Mining needed to track its repaired components while they were off site. It started with Aisoncore in a pilot at Candelaria in 2022, and in 2025 it launched Aisoncore at Caserones, its site at more than 4,000 metres.

While a repaired component was in diagnosis, in repair or in transit, Lundin had no way to track it. Its ERP, SAP, did not cover that part of the process. So it looked for an external solution.
The need for traceability of repaired components when they were off site, that is, during their diagnosis, repair and transport, led us to look for solutions outside our ERP (SAP).
The component leaves the site and diagnosis happens at the repair centre, with no traceability for the mining company.
The repair and the transport there and back are part of the same untracked stretch.
SAP does not cover what happens to the component off site. To see it, Lundin had to look outside its ERP.
Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement and Maintenance are all involved in every repair. Without coordination, operational losses appear.
What started as a pilot at Candelaria became a strategic partnership. With that experience, Lundin took Aisoncore to Caserones.
“Building on this experience, the implementation at Caserones was a decision in line with the strategy that Lundin Mining's regional management is developing: adding value by identifying synergies between companies, together with process standardisation.”
At Caserones, Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement and Maintenance met us in the same room, with a common goal: to improve how repairable components are managed. We walked the Truck Shop and the warehouses. And above all, we listened.
At Candelaria, Lundin tracked every stage of the repair in detail. At Caserones, approved orders, repair centre diagnoses, supplier changes, technical documents and downtime are starting to sit in one place.
We went down to Copiapó to visit three repair centres: Zepol, specialists in hydraulic components; Radiadores Gómez, with decades of experience in cooling; and Weir Minerals, key partners in pump and cyclone overhauls. At all three we heard the same thing: with Aisoncore, the conversation stops being corrective and becomes collaborative.

“Collaboration between mining companies and suppliers is key to the optimised development of the industry. For our part, we are always out on site to make our mining customer's work easier. Using technology helps all of us organise the work and be more productive.”
Candelaria results according to Lundin and Aisoncore, published in Aisoncore's article on Caserones (October 2025). Source: Aisoncore data. The 40% compares time off site in 2019–2022, before Aisoncore, with 2023, the first full year with Aisoncore.
Candelaria's experience with Aisoncore allowed us to track every stage of the repair process in detail, and to reduce both operational and administrative process times.
The company has actively promoted the implementation of digital tools that support and optimise our processes, such as Aisoncore, which not only digitalises the tracking of repairable components but also drives a culture of collaboration based on reliable and accessible data.
Caserones decided to take it on as a team, with data, conviction and leadership.
